Netgear wireless validating identity

its already been 4 days and i still cannot log on to my computer. S It never happened before I reformatted my computer Thanks in advance. If so, does the computer connect if you plug it directly into your router instead of using the wireless? If your computer can connect to your network via the wire...To fix, you go into the properties page of your wireless connection, go to "Wireless Networks" tab and then to Properties of the chosen wireless network you are trying to connect to.Then go to "authentification" tab and untick the box saying "Enable IEEE802.1x to the availiable network" and that should solve your problem Graham UKRight, Graham's solution worked for me.Hi, a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two. Change the Start Up Type to Automatic and click on Apply. Right-click on the wireless Network Connection icon and select 'Properties'. Look for the SSID (aka Network Name) of the Wireless router or access point. Highlight the SSID from the list that you want to connect to. Type the security Key here and click on the 'Connect' button. You should have successfully established a wireless network connection.best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US. I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. So basically, I keep getting an error when i try to connect to my own network "VALIDATING IDENTITY Windows was unable to find a certificant to log you on to the the network" I entered the correct network key that was setup with the router and im really frustrated because i tried everything in the options and nothing works.I searched on the internet who had similar problems and none of those helps as well Anyhow, does anyone know what to do to solve this ?

Im on the D-Link DIR-655Wireless Router and im using XP PRO SP2 if that helps.

None of these changes gets saved.I try to connect, I get a permanent validating identity message and all of the settings I entered are erased.

I can't access the router setup page because Internet Explorer loads, then encounters an error and has to close.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones). Go to Services then go to Service and Applications. If I have helped you, please help me, and rate this suggestion with the highest Fix Ya rating.
